Week 10 (Part 2): Amsterdam

Two days in sunny Amsterdam. Our hotel, a little out of the city center, had an industrial view as shown below that Matt was quite impressed with.. And a beautiful daffodil garden showing us that Spring had finally sprung! We wandered the smoke-filled streets of Amsterdam dodging the masses of cyclists, coffeeshops and enjoying the river views. Scantily clad women of all shapes, ages and colours stood in the windows between sex shops and porn shows in the Red Light District, smiling and winking and enticing customers, or sometimes just sitting on a stool texting and eating crisps.. We saw (the outside of) the Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank Huis and numerous cheese shops and tulip markets, tried locally made lollypops and cake and soaked in the springtime sun.

We've now been pushed back into foggy winter weather in Berlin, more of that to come!
